When the world was coming out of Lockdown, Kaz Hosaka made a surprise visit to his dear friends

Eve and Diego Garcia. During his stay Diego had the brilliant idea that they should broadcast a

“Happy Hour” when he would ask Kaz, normally a very private and shy person, to talk about his life

with dogs since arriving in the USA from Japan as a teenager when he had been invited to work for

the legendary Anne Rogers Clark.

The resulting interview was truly magical and gave an insight into how, with natural talent and

determination, someone could make the American Dream a reality.

At Westminster 2024 Kaz retired from professional handling by winning Best In Show with his

Miniature Poodle. That win makes this broadcast all the more poignant.
